The Family Enters a Battle of Their Own.
A battlefield injury lasts a moment.
The aftermath lasts months, sometimes years.
Mothers leave their jobs to sit beside hospital beds.
Fathers carry the weight of mounting bills.
Children struggle silently with fear and anxiety.
Homes once filled with stability are shaken by uncertainty.
Medical care focuses on the soldier.
But who cares for the family?
This is where We step in.
About Advot
Advot (Hebrew for Ripples) represents the circles of impact surrounding a wounded soldier the family members whose lives are also shaken by the injury.
The organization was born from the personal journey of Moshi and Chevi Ascher, after their son Ori was critically injured and lost his leg at the start of the "Iron Swords" War.
Through his recovery, they discovered a painful gap: while the wounded soldier receives medical care, their family is often left without a support system once the initial hospitalization ends and the long road of rehabilitation begins.
Advot is a registered Israeli nonprofit (Amuta No. 580798080) dedicated to ensuring these families are never left to face the journey alone. We provide essential emotional care, financial assistance, and practical guidance to the parents, siblings, and spouses standing behind Israel’s heroes.
We believe that to truly support our wounded soldiers, we must strengthen the foundations that hold them up: their families.
